New Editor for Survey Questions

hi Everyone,

The good news is that we’ve added a new editor to our questions. Now you will be able to add colors, images, and other decorations to your questions.

Here is a snapshot of what the editor looks like:

The current limitation is that you can only add rich text to the “question description” and not to the “question title” or the “question choice” fileds (although, we should be implementing this across the survey creator soon!).

We hope that this will help you create more beautiful surveys going forward. If you do have any questions/comments/suggestions, do leave us a message in the comment area.

Alpha Launch of fluidSurveys

Hi Everyone,

We’re proud to announce that we have launched the Alpha version of fluidSurveys. We’ve been working very hard to get the product ready for launch.

Our goal is to make fluidSurveys an extremely easy to use tool. We want to allow our users to create advanced surveys in just minutes. The website is up and running right now. We are still running through some bug fixing routines, but the website is ready for enthusiastic users to try out. If you do run into any issues, please do send us an email at info@chide.it. We will do our best to fix all issues and get ready for the public beta launch.

How We Chose the Name for our Product

Hi Everyone,

We thought we’d share with everyone how we came up with the name fluidSurveys… We have to admit that it was definitely not easy choosing a name. As a matter of fact, it was quite difficult!

At first we thought that our name should just say what the website does… So, we actually registered the domain MakeOnlineSurveys.com. Although, we didn’t like that domain name too much so we decided to hold a big brainstorming session with the entire team to determine an appropriate name… The goal was to lock ourselves in a room and not leave until we had a name

We all got together in our board room and made it a goal to write on the board as many names and ideas that we could come up with in 15 minutes! It was really fun! We came up with a number of names, some of which were serious and some of which were quite funny!

Some of the more memorable (and funny) names that we came up with were:

SurveyMaster5000
Questionator
SurveySays
KrazySurveys
SurveySurvey
SurveySurprise

At the end of the day, the whole brainstorming process was very fun. We then decided to run through all the names and in 30 minutes choose a winner…

We did some arguing and voting and at the end of the day came up with fluidSurveys, with the tagline: “go with the flow.” It was just the right name for us since it was professional and also hinted to the ease of use of the tool. A perfect fit! That’s how we chose our name in 45 minutes

fluidSurveys, of course, is the first software product that chide.it (our company) is launching. We are looking forward to naming our other products!
