Multiple Choice Question Type – Survey Question Types
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on October 30, 2009
The multiple choice question type allows you to ask a question, offer many choices, and accept only one response. For this reason, the multiple choice question is also know as the single answer or single response question type. The multiple choice question can be used to produce branching and skipping logic as well as piping. This question type is probably the most commonly used question type in online survey software. To find out all the details, make sure to watch the video above!
Checkbox Question Type – Multiple Response Questions
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on
The checkbox question – also known as the multiple choice/response question by some – is a question type that allows respondents to choose more than one answer. This question type is very common and can also be used in branching, looping, skipping, and data extraction. Make sure to watch the video above for more details.
Text Response Question – Open Ended Question
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on
The text response question or “open ended” question type is really valuable if you’d like to ask someone to type in their answer. The good news is that you can use this question type for short responses and really long multi-line responses. One of the questions that we get most frequently about this question type is: is there a limit to how much text can be typed into one of these boxes? The answer is that there is no limit
The text response question type also comes with a great deal of validation options so that you can limit the amount of text that is typed in or the format of text that is typed in. We are always adding more validation types so make sure to keep checking for new ones

Yes/No Question Type – Survey Question Types
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on
The simplest and most frequently used question type on FluidSurveys is the Yes/No Question Type. It’s a great tool to use in order to ask binary questions. The good news is that it comes with skip logic built right into the front-end interface. The even better news is that this question type is translated into 40 languages by default!
Section Separator Question Type – What is it? Why Use it?
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on
The section separator is what you can use to put in text, images, videos, rich media, etc… into your survey without actually asking a question. Think of it as a textbox that you can just type information in (i.e. no answers from respondents). The section separator is extremely useful when you want to put some introduction text on your website. Watch the video above for more info.
Role Management – Edit Surveys Collaboratively, Create Publishers, Reviewers, and More for Your Surveys
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on
Role management is definitely one of our favorite features here at FluidSurveys. The beautiful thing about it is that you can have different people at your company have different roles with respect to the same survey. For example, you can have 5 people editing and working on the same survey or you can have 2 people editing the survey and have 15 people responsible for publishing/distributing the survey to different groups… and another 10 people analyzing the results. Pretty powerful? You bet. Check out the video above and let us know if you have any questions

Renaming Your Survey – Change the Name of Your Survey
Posted in: Blog, Tutorials by admin on October 26, 2009
When you first create a survey using our Online Survey Software, you have to give it a name. Later on, you might come back to the same survey and realize that you don’t like the name and would like to change it. How do you do that? Well, it turns out that it’s actually quite easy. All you have to do is click on the “rename” button to get started. You should keep in mind, though, that the name of a survey is different from the survey title. The name of the survey is simply something to help you, the survey creator, organize your surveys – it does, however, appear in the URL of the survey. If you have the Ultra plan and above, you will be able to modify your survey URL by assigning to it a “pretty URL”.
