Bulk Import of Choices

Posted in: Features, Free, Question Options by admin on November 29, 2009

Sometimes you will want to add some very commonly used choices to your multiple choice and dropdown questions such as the list of Countries in the World or Cities/States. Ideally, you don’t want to have to type in these choices manually every time. With the bulk import option, you can choose from a variety of commonly used lists that have been already entered into the online database for you. Further to this, if you have a list of choices that you tend to use often, you can import these into the editor and reuse the same list of choices for other questions.

In any question type that supports it, you will see a button called “bulk” that you can click on in order to bring up the bulk editor. From that point, you can choose the list of choices that you’d like to add to your question.

Another use case for this option is the pasting in of answers in one shot. If you have already developed a survey in a text document and would like to paste in all of your choices rather than copying and pasting each of the individual choices, you can click on the bulk editor and paste in your choices on the right hand side of the window.
