Data and Variable Extraction Questions in your Online Survey

Another really useful feature that a lot of our customers love is data extraction (also known as Variable Extraction).

So, what is this all about?

We thought you’d never ask. Well, assume that you were asking a group of friends which one of a list of theme parks that they had attended in the past. Now, from the choices that they picked, let’s say you wanted to ask them which was their favorite? Now, it wouldn’t make sense to ask them to pick their favorite from amongst a list of theme parks that they had never attended. Rather, what would make sense would be to show them a list of theme parks that they have attended. To accomplish such a task, you need to use variable/data/choice extraction. Basically, the idea is to either grab all of the choices/variables from a previous question or a group of them based on certain criteria.
