Data Extraction

Let’s say that you were to ask a survey respondent to choose which energy drinks they have tried in the past from a long list. Let’s then say that you wanted to list all of their choices as variables in a multiple choice matrix question where you wanted to ask them how satisfied they were with each of the drinks that they’ve tried in the past. Obviously, in the previous page, if someone specifies that they have not had a drink, you don’t want to ask them how satisfied they were with the experience in the next section. Data Extraction is the way to create such behavior within your questions.
