Dropdown Questions – Survey Question Types

The dropdown question type is very similar to the multiple choice (a.k.a single response) question type. The dropdown question offers respondents many choices and requires the selection of one of these choices as a response. The advantage of using a dropdown question comes into play when you have many choices to work with. For example if you want to list all the countries in the world and have your respondents choose which country they live in, using a dropdown question is a very good idea. If you used a multiple choice question, then the list of countries would be too long on the page. A dropdown question would nicely fit all of the countries in the dropdown and the question is 1 line long. Please watch the video above for details.
