Rapidity has become somewhat of a valued trait in our society and everything has become significantly more fast-paced.
Moreover, it can be very difficult to get someone’s opinion at exactly the opportune moment! Wondering about people’s opinions at a rock concert or how viewers responded to the commercials aired during the Superbowl can be difficult information to acquire at the precise moment it is happening, and videos can be a great alternative in this situation!
When used, the video will be recent and fresh in the respondent’s mind, allowing them to answer the survey questions with ease!
Here are the simple instructions in order to actually embed a video into your survey:
-Find the video you wish to put in your survey (from a source such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)
-Click on the ‘embed’ button and then copy & paste the link information from the box
-Copy & paste this link information into the ‘Extra Description’ section of the question and make sure to click on the space bar
Even though the video may not seem to fit perfectly on the editing screen, if you go and preview the page you should be able to see what the video will look like to respondents.
Using a video will allow your respondents to watch the clip and, immediately afterward, be able to answer your survey questions based on this recent experience. This way, the respondent does not have to wrack their brain trying to remember something that may have occurred in the past, they can simply watch the video and focus on the questions they are being asked! Easy as pie!
