The multiple choice matrix question is again one of the more commonly used question types. It is also known as the multiple choice grid or single response grid/matrix. This question is most commonly used as a likert question where you ask respondents to determine how satisfied they are with a number of different variables on a scale of “very satisfied, satisfied, somewhat satisfied, neutral, somewhat dissatisfied, dissatisfied, very dissatisfied, etc…”. This question type is also sometimes used for ranking questions (i.e. rank the following variables from 1 to 5).
