Online Survey Software Hosted Securely in Canada

As a result of the United States Patriot Act, many Canadian Institutions are now looking to sign up for web services that host their data in Canada. The same sort of rules apply for the use of online survey software. The good news for Canadians is that when you sign up from Canada, FluidSurveys will host all of your data in Canada. This is important since some provinces such as British Columbia have taken extra measures to address privacy concerns.
According to Osler, they have “amended their public sector privacy legislation, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA). The amendments, which became law on October 21, 2004, place tough new restrictions on storing, accessing and disclosing of B.C. public sector data by service providers.”
