Passing GET Variables through External URLs

Piping questions into the redirect URL of your survey & having the GET variable passed through to the external website!

How to…
Firstly, make sure you add a question identifier (as you would for any advanced survey).
This feature can be used on question types such as text response, or multiple choice questions.

As as example, you could ask a text response question like: (question identifier = business) Please type in the website that you feel would be the most beneficial to your future success in the marketing business: _________________________ – then you can have the redirect URL send the respondents to this particular page by adding it into the redirection area in the publishing settings (as seen in the image below).

When using a multiple choice question, you can have the respondent redirected to the website they choose from the question options (ex. choosing which search engine they find the most helpful).

In order to create this type of redirection, simply do the following in the FluidSurveys editor:
Publish > Settings > Redirection > choose either Survey Complete, Survey Terminated, or Quota Filled

Adding in a GET variable to the external website:

In the redirection area of the editor, add in the website you would like the respondent to be redirected to along with: ?GETvariable=[question identifier]
Example: http://fluidsurveys.com?test=[business]

You can now have the respondent redirected to an external URL and have a GET variable included/passed through in the URL once the respondent leaves the survey!
When the survey is complete, this is what will show up in the address bar:

*customizable redirection available on Ultra and Enterprise accounts
