. If you are an unaffiliated individual you may also participate. Skip questions that are not relevant to you and explain your interest in the program in the comments section.l
This JJA program is free and open to all staff and volunteers of institutions, organizations and businesses which are considering producing events or otherwise participating in JAM/IJD/JazzApril 2014. Individuals who would like to organize local events or participate as a volunteer in local events can also take part.
This professional level training program will enhance existing media skills and broaden and strengthen outreach to local communities and media outlets. It is specially designed to allow participants to more effectively use their JAM/IJD/JazzApril activities to network with local jazz influencers and journalists --and, as a result, to build new audiences year-round.
Program activities will take place in November and December 2013 to allow participants time to make and begin enacting plans for JAM in April, 2014.
The program will include:
Three inter-active online webinars
on using social media, working with local online and traditional media, and planning an effective JAM/IJD/JazzApril event, campaign or program.
(online or, where possible, in person) with local jazz influencers and journalists.
(where requested) with JJA instructors.
Your responses to this survey will help us better target the training to your needs.
