The Guelph Fire Department has a proud tradition of assisting residents and visitors of the community in both emergency and non-emergency situations. 1) How quick, accurate, and reassuring the call taker/dispatcher is when receiving an emergency call

i.e. when a 911 call for assistance is received by the Guelph Fire Department's Communications Centre

i.e. once the call taker/dispatcher receives enough information to assess the emergency, the appropriate number of vehicles must be dispatched to respond to the incident as quickly and safely as possible

i.e. there are many different tasks at various stages of any given emergeny incident to be performed such as incident commanders, traffic control, search and rescue, safety officer, fire attack teams, pump operators, water supply, ventilation, overhaul etc.
