FluidSurveys How-to: Restoring an Archived Survey
Being the awesome bunch that we are, from time-to-time you can expect us to publish helpful How-Tos on our blog. These How-Tos will address some common “gotchas” or questions with our existing features and options in FluidSurveys.
Of course, if questions linger even after you have read our brilliantly-written guides (*buffing nails on shirt confidently*), we’re still available to handle your support questions.
Today’s how-to can be called:
“How to Unarchive a Survey”
… or …
“Where the $#@!* are my Archived Surveys?!”
For this example, I have created two surveys (Demo Survey #1 and Demo Survey #2) and archived them. We will go through the step-by-step actions required to locate these two surveys in the archive, and make them plainly visible once again.
Always clear your filters. I repeat: always clear your filters! You can perform every other step in this how-to correctly, but if you have your filter set to “peanut butter” then you will never be able to un-archive the survey named “jelly” because you won’t see it. Even if you are positive that your filter is correct, clear it anyway to appease the survey gods (…and the blog writer).
If you don’t see this option, then you don’t currently have a filter active and you can skip to step 2.
Click the “Show:” button in the top right-hand corner of the program screen, and select “All Groups”. This tells FluidSurveys not to filter our visible surveys by group, but instead to show us every survey, in every group.
Notice how my two archived surveys, Demo Survey #1 and Demo Survey #2 are still missing from the list.
Click the tag icon, as shown in the picture, then select “Archived.”
The steps we’ve taken up to now will show us every archived survey in every group. And, whaddayaknow, there’s Demo Survey #1 and #2.
To un-archive Demo Survey #2, we click on it to select it, then we click on the blue toggle button entitled “Archived”, as shown in the picture below.
You will notice that the survey is no longer marked as “archived” in these two places:
Repeat step #4 for each survey you want to un-archive.
Now we want to clear the archive filter so that we see only our un-archived surveys once again! Click the tag icon, as shown in the picture below, and then click on “archived” to clear that filter.
And You’re Done!
In this how-to, you learned how to locate a survey in your archive, and how to remove it from the archive.
